Subtropical atmospheres of Calilegua

The desert steppes of the Altiplano extend over most of the province of Jujuy, North-Western Argentina. Yet only a few dozen kilometers away, these arid spaces give way to subtropical cloud forests.
In Parque Nacional Calilegua, a thick mist plunges the jungle into a captivating atmosphere. Here, birds are numerous and colorful but stealth and difficult to photograph. Suddenly, an exotic call disturbs the silence of the surrounding greenery.
