After two weeks in the Evo area in the south of Finland, I'm heading for the far north. Destination: the Lofoten Islands, home of the cod! As I make my way towards the higher latitudes, the pine forests give way to the boreal tundra, vast stretches of steppe dotted with stunted birch trees. At the end of May, winter has not yet given up. Frozen lakes and leafless trees show that spring is just around the corner...
